Greater Birmingham Auburn Club Young Alumni
Mission Statement
Greater Birmingham Auburn Club Young Alumni GBACYA) ,
is the official section of the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club (GBAC) for young members of the Auburn Family in the Greater Birmingham Area. Generally, this section of the Club includes individuals who are have been away from Auburn University for 10 years or less, or people who are about 34 years old or younger.
The GBAYA purpose is to enable young Auburn alumni or friends of Auburn to gather and enjoy sharing the Auburn spirit. It is a great way to meet other young members of the Auburn family and to stay connected.
There are many benefits of membership. The GBACYA sponsors events specifically for young alumni members through the year, including monthly Tiger Thursday events, Annual 5k Fun Run, Recruiting Wrap-up, Annual Scholarship Scramble golf tournament, Fall Kick-Off Party, Beat Bama Bash, Game-watching parties, and other social gatherings. Members are informed of news of upcoming events via the Club’s magazine “Tiger Tales” as well as the Club’s website and e-mail notifications. By attending Club events, you will see Aubie, the AU cheerleaders, AU head coaches (football, basketball, and others), the Tiger Paws, Alumni Affairs leaders and other AU representatives.
Who can join the GBACYA? We encourage and welcome everyone who is about 34 years old or younger and loves Auburn to become members of the GBACYA. You do not have to be a graduate or have attended Auburn University to support and be involved in the Club.
